Gone but Not Forgotten – Words of Sympathy

You were so full of life,
Always smiling and carefree,
Life loved you being a part of it,
And I loved you being a part of me.
You could make anyone laugh,
If they were having a bad day,
No matter how sad I was,
You could take the hurt away.
Nothing could every stop you,
Or even make you fall,
You were ready to take on the world,
Ready to do it all.
But God decided he needed you,
So from this world you left,
But you took a piece of all of us,
Our hearts are what you kept.
Your seat is now empty,
And it’s hard not to see your face,
But please always know this,
No one will ever take your place.
You left without a warning,
Not even saying good-bye,
And I can’t seem to stop,
Asking the question why?
Nothing will ever be the same,
The halls are empty without your laughter,
But I know you’re in Heaven,
Watching over us and looking after.
I didn’t see this coming,
It hit me by surprise,
And when you left this world,
A small part of me died.
Your smile could brighten anyone’s day,
No matter what they were going through,
And I know everyday for the rest of my life,
I’ll be missing you.

  7. My best friend past away on 4/13/08. I read this a little over two years ago and it still makes me cry. He suffered his whole life with everything from kidney transplants, dialisis, cancer, beating cancer and died from an infection. He was only 32 years old. Tomorrow is his birthday. Tradition is, I read this on his birthday and on the anniversary of his death. You have a talent for helping people say the words they cannot express themselves. Thank you.

  14. I tend not to drop many remarks, however I browsed a few of the responses here. I do have 2 questions for you if you don’t mind. Could it be only me or does it appear like some of the responses appear like they are left by brain dead individuals? πŸ˜› And, if you are writing at other places, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of the complete urls of your shared sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

  15. good morning, august blog! I would just like to leave a reply to say how gratified I am for you writing such a precious website.

  16. I really don’t want professionals because im planning to put the poem(s) i get here in my story. I suck at writing poetry, so help me. Mostly depressing love poems or just love poems, but any poem is welcome as long as it’s not a goofy funny poem.
okay, the love poems r good so far but some simple ones r good too. Try some non-love poems now, that would be good.

  17. Love u dad. Sending you loads off hugs and kisses! I understand and wish I could take the pain away. You mean the world to me
